Cutters offer various forms of specialised support training, associated to the products they distribute.

Operational Product Training

Legislation requires employers to ensure that their employees are provided with the required operational training in order to comply with the requirements of our Occupational Health & Safety Act. Owing to the fact that many of the products Cutters distribute are deemed to be potentially high-risk, Cutters have always been industry leaders in supplying Operational Training of the highest level, which combines interpreting the manufacturers recommendation with legislative requirements. What’s more, Cutters have been Accredited by the Fibre Processing & Manufacturing SETA as Training Service Providers in accordance with the SAQA (South African Qualifications Authority) unit standards for which they have been registered, which include Chainsaw and Brush-Cutter operation. In addition to these existing unit standards, Cutters provide operational training for many other products including wood chippers, earth-augers, pole pruners, blowers and hedge trimmers, construction equipment and other machinery. Cutters also offer assessment services to evaluate existing operators, who can then in turn be deemed competent to operate the machines.

Technical Servicing & Repairs Training

Cutters offer mechanical Appreciation Courses for Technicians who execute Repair and Service functions on their product. These are hosted at head office and Technicians are taught correct practices for diagnosing faults, correct use of the recommended factory special repair tools, as well as product specific training relating to each machine model. These courses are very popular with many large end users and government departments who repair and service their own product. Attendees receive certification on completion.
